Are you ministering to families on a daily basis? Have you done an FMS or FFS and want to deepen your knowledge & skills to work effectively with Families, yet you can’t leave your ministry for 3-5 months to do a UofN school?
Topics
With the Online Advanced Family Studies (AFS) you’ll dive deeper into topics like:
- Genogram & Family Systems
- Coaching/Mentoring skills
- Parenting
- Sexuality & Gender
- Contemporary Family Issues
…but you’ll do this mostly from your home! All you need is a computer and a good internet connection!
Online & Intensives
This school will be run in an online format with a closing intensive: the opening days will be Online on 8 & 9 July. The intensive is planned for May/June 2021 (location in Europe). The 13 modules will take place over the course of 12 months and require self-study, online teaching and Zoom small group meetings. The online modules will become available each month, starting September 2020.
Credits & Degree
This school will be registered as 13 seminars with the UofN Extension Studies Center. All modules combined could count towards the third level AFS school (FAM 351), building upon the existing Foundation for Family Studies. We expect you will do outreach and a practicum, details to be confirmed at a later stage. If you are interested in pursuing a degree in Family Studies, please indicate this when registering for this school, so we can discuss the requirements.
Cost
The school fees are made up of:
- Tuition fee: €490
This includes all the online modules & UofN registration. This fee is due before you can take part in the opening days (8/9 July 2020). - Intensive fee: €650
This includes the housing, food and speakers cost for 10 days. This is due before or upon arrival for the intensive (May/June 2021) - Books & Resources, transport to Intensive are NOT included in the school fees
