This year we celebrated the 20th anniversary of YWAM Family Camps in Slovakia. Over these 20 years, we have run 40 different camps for more than 1000 families! So these Family Camps have been full of celebration and thankfulness for God’s work in Slovakia through this ministry – a lot of relationships were restored, families came to know God in a personal way or stepped into new ministry thanks to Family Camps over all these years! And everything started with the simple obedience of an ordinary mum with 2 little kids who received God’s calling to start this ministry.
We ran 3 Family Camps for 100 families this summer, and we invited the founders of YWAM Slovakia Family Camps, Amy and Robert Rummage from the US. They came with their 8 kids, who were also involved in the teaching, sharing a living testimony of their own family life.
As well as expressing thankfulness and reminding everyone of all God has done in the past, we encouraged the participating families to pass on what they have received to others. Some families received a calling to start new things – family camps in their area, small groups for mums, a mission dimension within their family…
